Vybe struggled to find clarity in its concept and design, making it challenging to compete in a saturated social app market. Limited funding added pressure to focus on the most impactful features, leaving no room for unnecessary complexities or missteps.
The Solution
I collaborated with the client to reimagine the app’s core flows, focusing on making it easy to create, join, and share hangouts with friends. The final design emphasized clean, engaging visuals and a frictionless user experience, ensuring users could quickly connect with their social circles. Strategic feature prioritization kept the scope manageable without compromising the app’s value.
The Impact
Vybe launched in the App Store in 2022, delivering an experience that users loved for its simplicity and focus on connection. Although the app is no longer live due to funding challenges, it demonstrated the potential for niche social media experiences and garnered positive feedback from early adopters.
